Summer Plein Air in Carpathians READ MORE

Summer is perfect time for plein airs, that´s why artists spend much time of summer outside, creating beautiful landscape paintings. For no particular reason this summer is very unexpected for me, all the projects that I had and that are still coming (hopefully) aren´t really planned. They are something that the particular moment brings. The right place with the right people? Maybe…

Sometimes it’s only enough to sleep well in order to be able to taste life again. Not a grand gesture, not a perfect morning routine — just deep, uninterrupted sleep, the kind that returns you to yourself. That’s how my Sunday usually starts. Waking up without the annoying alarm clock is really a good comeback from the dream state to the real state — gentle, natural, on your own terms. No jolt, no panic, just a slow and willing return to the waking world.

If all the promises could be kept so easily like my yesterday´s promise.

I kept my word to take photos of my new landscape paintings and here is the small portion of them.

There is a particular satisfaction in following through on even the smallest commitment. A quiet inner nod that says: you said you would, and you did.

If you happen to stay at home tonight, but nevertheless you´d like to enjoy the evening, I will offer you a great film “Modigliani”. It´s about the famous Italian artist and other artists who lived at that time. Love and rivalry, passion and sorrow, art and destiny.. There is much to be said about this film, but it´s better to watch it than to read, right?

There are days like today when I just look back and think I could better, I could more. Such typical if…. then.. thoughts. Honestly, I don´t like such mood and this kind of thoughts, because they never bring anything expect for pitying for the time that you at the moment see as “lost”. Moreover, these thoughts can capture your brain and play with you like a cat with a mouse. So, I drove them out consciously and started painting. It´s better to say I was able to get rid of them only while painting. Yes, my plan for today was to work on photos of new paintings, that I took yesterday. But my soul demanded to paint. So, I gave up.

You´ve probably noticed that ballet is my favourite subject of investigation. I was always fascinated both by the tiny and elegant movements of ballet dancers and the strength of their love to dance.

There are places in the world that don’t just shape you — they become part of you, woven into the way you see, feel, and move through life. For me, that place is Rakhiv.

The town where I was born, Rakhiv, is a small and beautiful town nestled in western Ukraine, cradled on all sides by the magnificent Carpathian mountains.

Why is flying fascinating READ MORE

Mankind was always fascinated by flying and exactly the dreamers made it possible to create means for flying.

Very often I´m flying in my dreams, like a bird, not sitting in a plane, but flying myself. Today at night I experienced it again, and it felt so real that I really thought I was flying. A good friend of mine is afraid of height but only because of the reason he would start flying. He has a strange feeling he could manage it on his own, exactly like a bird.

Why is flying so fascinating for people? I just think that one can feel the absolute freedom, the moment, when you can go beyond yourself… Probably we won´t learn to fly without the help of particular transport means, but it doesn´t make our dream flights unreal. Just close the eyes and flyyyyy!
