There are many reasons to like plein airs, and everybody should accept the offer of taking part in them, if such an offer comes.
One of the reasons, that I’ve already mentioned in WHY PLEIN AIR are interesting excursions.
Wooden churches. It was planned to get to know them. The two town Davydovo and Krainykovo, which are situated in Trasscaprathia, western Ukraine, are quiet ordinary towns at first sight. However they are the home of the unique wooden churches of the 17th century. The style in which they were built is called marmoros gothic and takes its name from the mountain massif and stresses the territotial feature of the style.
Surrounded by ancient oaks, the St. Mykhail Church lives in the past.
It seems that you get to the ancestors who were as fond of the beauty as we are. It’s clear that the life in the 17th century was completely different from that what we have now, but these churches reminded me once again, that the human always wants to reach the beauty and the aestethic delight, it doesn’t matter in what epoch he|she lives.
