Yellow Mood. Meaning of Yellow in Art

. looking through my paintings and I surprisingly admit my love to yellow color. My head is very active while creating a painting, and there is always a certain reason why I use these or those details. But the dominant color – is my mood. Yellow mood in this case. What does yellow tell? What does it stand for?

Yellow is the color of joy and happiness. The psychologists state it stimulates the mental activity and arouses cheerfulness but at the same time it disturbs enormously if overused. That´s a primary color and we can´t get it by mixing any other colors together. Yellow is the most controversial color, it shows both youth and old age, intelligence and carelessness, freshness and illness. Different tones of yellow arouse these opposite emotions.

I love yellow but I don’t think I would like to have the complete wall painted in yellow at home, but a yellow spot on the wall is pretty ok 🙂
